(Last Updated On: September 6, 2023)

Nite Burn Review

Nite Burn by BPI sports is a new type of supplement designed to aid fat burning at night.

With athletes worldwide promoting Nite Burn and promoting it to their social media followers it is not surprising that it has become a popular seller.

Erica Rantucci with Team Excel is a loyal Nite Burn ambassador, as is Ismael Martinez who is the current Mr. Mexico. YouTube star Brandon Harding is also claiming to love the effects Nite Burn is having on his fitness regime and physical appearance.

Nite burn by BPI Sports is available through Amazon and bodybuilding.com, and is available in 30 and 60 capsule bottles, with a starting price of $29.

So, what makes this product different to the rest of the weight loss products currently out there in the market?

Let’s look more closely…

How does BPI Nite Burn work?

Because Nite Burn has been designed to work whilst you sleep it contains very few stimulants.

Instead, it includes sleep-inducing ingredients as well as other substances designed to block the effects of carbohydrates on the body. The idea behind Nite Burn is that you get a much needed boost to your fat burning results whilst you are resting and recuperating.

At first glance, it seems that this product does not really focus on appetite suppression or boosting metabolism. Below, we’ll assess the ingredients in full and what effects if any they have for weight loss.

Ingredients

BPI Nite burn includes a proprietary blend and hides away the majority of the doses, which means it doesn’t disclose the exact amounts of its ingredients.

Fortunately, they are forced to display the total formula amount, and we can see that it weighs in at 640mg total for the whole lot. This seems a bit on the stingy side to us and we think the supplement is significantly underdosed as a result.

On top of that, not revealing ingredient doses only hurts the brand and does bring about some unnecessary questions from consumers, as we have no idea how the 640mg is divided up.

Here’s what we know about the ingredients is in Nite Burn:

White kidney beans

These beans are an excellent plant-based source of protein and are used to reduce starch absorption. They may help weight loss by stopping the starch-digesting enzyme ‘amylase’ which otherwise would turn the starch that you eat into absorbable sugars.

They are also an excellent source of fiber and Vitamin B, improving blood sugar and cholesterol levels. Be careful though, the white kidney bean is also known to have some less-fortunate side effects such as gas and bloating Not great when performing squats.

Melatonin

This is proven to be a useful sleep aid, so it is not surprising to see it in this formula. Since this ingredient plays a role in helping you go to sleep, we were very surprised to see no exact dose listed on the bottle.

Melatonin is a potent hormone so we would be uncomfortable to recommend taking this product given the lack of knowledge we have on the dose. For the avoidance of doubt doses of 1mg of Melatonin are considered to be safe for human supplementation.

Vitamin D3

Vitamin D3 is a hugely important vitamin for our bodies. Known as the ‘sunshine vitamin’ it is great for building and maintaining strong bones. It is used to treat and prevent bone disorders and help support a good immune system.

So, we’re pleased to see this appearing in the ingredients list. Usually, your body produces Vitamin D naturally when it is exposed to sunlight so if you can’t always get out and about, Vitamin D is your go-to supplement.

Green coffee

The green coffee bean extract does contain some caffeine which as we all know, is proven to increase your body’s metabolism and increase the rate at which your body uses stored fat content.

Chlorogenic acid is a natural ingredient found in coffee beans and is also found within this green coffee bean. According to human studies, it may help to stimulate weight loss.

Also be aware that as with all caffeinated products, anxiety and insomnia could possibly be experienced, especially if you are sensitive. As Nite Burn actively promotes its rest and relaxation benefits it was surprising to see any caffeine included whatsoever.

L Tryptophan

This ingredient is an essential amino acid, it allegedly supports optimal nitrogen balance in children and adults. Scientific results show that Tryptophan is a precursor of Serotonin, the feel-good neurotransmitter which regulates our mood, sleep and even our sex drive. Always a good thing in our book!

There have also been lots of studies around Tryptophan, particularly around the alleviation of symptoms related to stress and anxiety.

Tryptophan appears in many everyday foods such as chicken, turkey, eggs, milk and cheese.

For Tryptophan to be able to work effectively, there does need to be enough Vitamin B6 and B2 in your system, but these are not listed within the ingredients list for Nite Burn.

Dandelion

This is a diuretic which will make you lose water weight but not fat. Diuretics are used to rid the body of any extra salt and fluids. The Dandelion has been used medicinally for centuries, particularly within Native American, Asian and European history as a liver tonic.

Diuretics also increase the production of urine, which is a trick used by athletes, primarily to get rid of any excess water, meaning they can and reduce their weight for optimum performance on the day.

However, this isn’t always a good idea as shedding excess fluid from your body isn’t just removing water. It also removes important electrolytes such as sodium and potassium which may start to interfere with your body’s natural balance.

Raspberry ketones

One of the newest supplements to hit the market, Raspberry ketones are touted as the next miracle substance for weight management. A ketone is a chemical which is found within Raspberry skins that are claimed to increase your metabolism naturally.

Ketones can also be found in kiwis, blackberries and cranberries. Apparently, the ketones cause the fat within cells to be broken down more quickly and effectively, which helps the body to burn fat faster. However, there is still conflicting scientific evidence when it comes to their effectiveness.

There have been no clinical trials completed on humans, just the say-so of researchers. But do they work? Maybe they do, maybe they don’t!

Saffron

Saffron is a spice derived from the ‘Saffron Rose’ and is one of the most expensive ingredients to be found in the culinary world. It has been used for its medicinal purposes for thousands of years. Some of the benefits claimed include an antidepressant effect, enhancing skin and hair and supporting a healthy heart.

There have been many scientific experiments carried out in relation to saffron and its weight loss capabilities, with results showing that it could potentially curb appetite and reduce cravings for sugary foods.

Which fat burning products actually work?

What are the customers saying?

Reviews

The majority of reviews are located either via Amazon on the product page or via BPI’s own website. We looked at the Amazon reviews to keep things transparent and fair.

It was noted that reviews were from 2017 and 2018, with no reviews in 2019.

Nearly half of the reviews were 5-star reviews, with customers mainly commenting on the sleeping aid element of the product.

Reviewers were also commenting that they were surprised how well the product worked, with a small but steady weight loss noticed.

To counter the positive reviews, there were some negative reviews, with 16% of reviews only being awarded 1-star. Side effects reported included the jitters, shaking, nausea and vomiting, and perhaps more incredibly, weight gain.

Most negative reviews actually reported that no difference was reported with their weight loss whatsoever.

Interestingly there is a lack of photographic evidence or any other recorded information, so it is difficult to analyze the effectiveness of Nite Burn based on the reviews.

It is worth mentioning that Amazon reviews cannot always be trusted even if they are negative.

Pros and Cons

Pros and Cons

When it comes to fat burning weight loss products, there are many on the market to choose from. Some are expensive, some are cheaper some work, and some don’t. Here are the Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Designed for sportspeople, cheap entry level product
  • Ingredients concentrate on reducing weight loss
  • Promotes sleep, rest and relaxation

Cons

  • Contain diuretics
  • No dose listed for melatonin
  • Overall dose is small
  • Only 30 capsules per bottle

Conclusion

BPI Nite Burn is a cheap product that includes 2 or 3 proven ingredients. Sadly, it is let down by a weak overall dose as well as the fact it doesn’t clearly list the dose of potent ingredients like Melatonin.

It is always super important to know what you are putting into your system, and how much. Without an ingredients list, this is impossible to know.

With some super reviews and some terrible reviews, it is difficult to tell if this product really works.

Try it, see if it works for you, but be conscious of the ingredient list and if in doubt at all, don’t take the risk.
