What is an Intra Workout Supplement?
An intra-workout supplement is a product designed specifically to be taken during your workout. It provides essential amino acids, electrolytes, and other nutrients to help fuel your performance throughout the duration of your training session.
Ingredients in Intra by Swolverine
Here is where the rubber meets the road when it comes to any supplement. Intra by Swolverine is packed with key ingredients to maximize hydration and improve your performance.
Essential Amino Acids (4300 mg) – Essential amino acids are the powerhouse of protein, helping you bounce back from workouts and build strong muscles through anabolic balance. Get ready to level up your muscle recovery process!
Branched Chain Amino Acids (3000 mg) – Resistance training can cause muscle damage. But don’t worry, BCAA supplements may be the answer. Studies show that providing BCAAs before and after exercise helps reduce indices of muscle injury and helps you bounce back faster from a grueling workout routine – because optimal protein synthesis means better protection against secondary muscular trauma.(1)
BCAA supplements, particularly leucine, have been found to give your body a major advantage when it comes to muscle repair. Research suggests that BCAA’s can turbo-charge the protein synthesis process and slow down degradation – helping you recover more quickly from endurance exercise and grow stronger faster. (2)
Panax Ginseng (800 mg) – This Intra workout supplement uses Panax Ginseng to help you stay focused and alert during your workout. It is known for its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects, which can reduce physical stress caused by intense activities like weight lifting or running. 800 mg per serving is also a pretty generous dose.
Electrolytes (650 mg) – INTRA contains potassium, magnesium, and calcium as well as coconut water and pink Himalayan salt for maximum hydration and electrolyte replenishment while you are training.
Coconut Water (500 mg) – Coconut water is one of nature’s most hydrating beverages. It contains vital electrolytes, minerals, and other beneficial compounds that can help you retain more fluid during exercise and combat dehydration.
Pomegranate (500 mg) – Pomegranate is a powerful source of antioxidants and micronutrients. It helps reduce inflammation while providing your body with essential vitamins and minerals to support immune system health. It improves blood flow and can help reduce muscle fatigue.(3)
Tart Cherry Extract (200 mg) – This Intra supplement contains tart cherry extract, which is high in anthocyanin, the antioxidant that gives cherries their dark red hue. Tart cherry extract is clinically proven to reduce muscle soreness, inflammation, and oxidative stress caused by exercise.
Spirulina (100 mg) – Spirulina is a type of blue-green algae that contains high levels of nutrients and antioxidants. It can help reduce inflammation, boost immunity, and improve digestion – all of which are important for optimizing performance during exercise. This makes it very popular in greens powder supplements.
Pink Himalayan Salt (400 mg) – Pink Himalayan salt is a natural mineral-rich source of electrolytes. It helps replace electrolyte losses from sweating during exercise, which can help improve performance and reduce muscle cramping.
Vitamin B6 and B12 (2 mg) – INTRA also contains Vitamin B6 and B12, which are essential for energy metabolism. They help convert food into energy and can improve mental focus during intense training sessions.
Overall they use some really nice ingredients that provide a good balance of muscle building, recovery, hydration, and mental focus. There are no proprietary blends, and they use generous doses. What’s there not to like?

Taste for Swolverine Intra
Here comes one of the most important factors for a lot of people. No one wants to take a supplement that they need to choke down.
Intra comes in two flavors, Tropical Burst, and Cherry Blast. I tried both of them.
Both flavors mixed up pretty well, and they both looked pretty much the same when they were mixed with water. There are no added dyes or anything to get some phony bright-colored drink. Both of them were grayish/bluish in color, which is natural and perfectly fine
One flavor was clearly better than the other, though. The Tropical Burst smelled and tasted great. Not too sweet, not to bland, you will really like it.
The Cherry Blast, however, had a bit of a strange odor to it. The taste itself was ok, but the smell was a little offputting.
If you are choosing between the two flavors, the Tropical Burst is the easy choice.

It has all the necessary ingredients to maximize hydration and improve performance and recovery during your workout. Plus, the subscription saves you 15% and the tropical burst flavor tastes great. The cherry blast flavor has a strange odor but the taste is ok. Take my advice and go with the Tropical Burst. All in all, this is a good overall supplement that is worthy of your hard-earned cash.
