Christmas Abbott
Height: 5’3″
Weight: 115lbs
Location: Raleigh, North Carolina
Christmas Abbott is not just a CrossFit Athlete and coach. She is much more than that. Let’s take a further look.
Bio
Christmas grew up in Lynchburg, Virginia but she wasn’t really much of an athlete growing up. In fact, she was pretty much the opposite of an athlete growing up.
At the age of 13, she was involved in a horrific car accident that left her traumatized. While she was not really hurt too bad her sister was. Her sister ended up in a coma and nearly died. While her sister did survive Christmas was never the same. Christmas had a hard time moving on from the accident and quickly turned to alcohol, cigarettes and drug use which became a habit she would keep up for almost 10 years. She was so bad off she barely even graduated high school. After high school, she tried to join the Army but was rejected. She was so out of shape she could barely even run a mile.
It wasn’t until she was 22 and she joined her mom as an Iraqi contractor that she started to learn more about healthy living this lead her to quit drinking and smoking and she turned to exercise and healthy eating instead. She came across CrossFit when a soldier showed her a video of women taking on intensive challenges. Competitive by nature, Christmas was intrigued and she started achieving one CrossFit milestone after the another until she crushed every milestone in the renowned CrossFit Challenge.
When she came back to the United States She started coaching CrossFit and opened up her own Crossfit box. Her success in CrossFit led her to take up competitive Olympic Weightlifting and within a short period of time she has secured national ranking and has had thoughts about trying out for the Olympics.
Christmas Abbott Joins a Nascar Pit Crew
On top of becoming a Crossfit gym owner and athlete, she also became the first female pit crew member for NASCAR. Considering this is a completely male profession it is quite an accomplishment. I am sure that being a bit of a powerhouse and a badass helped as well though.
One day a friend of hers called her and asked if she wanted to play NASCAR, she said sure thinking she would be driving the car around the track. When she got there and found out she would be changing tires instead she was really ticked off but she decided to go along with it. As it turns out she was pretty good at it. They had Pit Crew competitions and she beat the boys 2 out of 3 times. Several weeks later, she was recruited by, and would soon land a spot on the crew for Michael Waltrip Racing.
She was with NASCAR for a while changing tires for various kinds of races but eventually decided that the time requirements and the wear and tear of the job were too much. Not to mention that she was 30 years old which is the age most tire changers retire from the job due to wear and tear on their knees. She loved it but it was time to move on.
She has since found herself on the cover of Sports Illustrated and Harper Collins with her ripped and sexy physique. In fact, her physique has gotten so much attention that she decided it was time to write down all of her fitness tips and that is when she wrote her book “The Badass Body Diet”. The book sold so well and made her a National Best Selling Author so she decided to write another book. The second book is titled “The Badass Life” and it is a day-by-day guide designed to encourage habit change through fun, dynamic daily tasks challenging your mind, body, and spirit. Basically, it will make you a badass with good habits so you can lead a kick ass life. If that isn’t enough she also managed to also land herself on the 19th season of Big Brother 19 on CBS and hopes to win the grand prize of $500,000.

From everything above you might think that Christmas doesn’t have time for anything else. But you would be wrong. She also is the Oxygen Magazine Trainer Challenge Head Trainer, an online fitness coach and Christmas recently got married (sorry guys).
That pretty much sums it up for now. She is so active that we will likely have to update it this article before long. This girl is a machine and I am sure she has more big things in her future!
