Ingredients in Clean Meal
The main ingredients in Clean Meal include:
Whey Protein Isolate
Clean Meal uses whey protein isolate to deliver 28 grams of protein per serving. Whey protein isolate is a better and more pure form of whey protein that is digested and absorbed more easily by the body,
Oat Flour
Oat flour is a common ingredient found in meal replacement shakes due to its nutritional benefits and versatility. It is made by grinding whole oats into a fine powder, resulting in a flour-like consistency. Oat flour is a rich source of complex carbohydrates, dietary fiber, and various vitamins and minerals.
One of the main advantages of using oat flour in a meal replacement shake is its high fiber content. Fiber plays a crucial role in promoting satiety, helping individuals feel fuller for longer periods, which can aid in weight management and controlling food cravings.
Organic Quinoa
Organic quinoa is a popular ingredient found in meal replacement shakes due to its exceptional nutritional profile and versatility. Quinoa is a pseudo-cereal that is often referred to as a “superfood” due to the fact that it is loaded with health benefits.
As an ingredient in meal replacement shakes, organic quinoa provides a range of essential nutrients. It is a rich source of high-quality protein, containing all nine essential amino acids, making it a valuable plant-based protein option. Protein is essential for muscle repair and growth, as well as for supporting overall body functions.
Quinoa is also abundant in dietary fiber, which aids in digestion and helps promote a feeling of fullness. This can be beneficial for individuals looking to manage their weight or control their calorie intake.
Fruit and Vegetable Blend
This meal replacement shake also features a fruit and vegetable blend that includes spinach, kale, shitake mushroom, sweet potato, kelp, chlorella, and more.
This blend is designed to both deliver vitamins and minerals as well as promote fullness and satiety.
Taste and Experience with Clean Meal
I tested out the Vanilla Cake flavor, and it was actually really good. It really did taste like a vanilla cake,
It was a bit on the thicker side, as you would expect to be, if it is going to fill you up like a meal would and keep you full for any length of time.
While the directions say to mix it with water, I tried it both mixed with water and milk. I think mixing it with milk was slightly better. A bit creamier but not too thick, like it can be when you mix casein protein powder with milk.
Clean Meal kept me full for about 2 hours or so before I started feeling hungry again. Which, for me, is about as long as it would take it I ate an actual meal, so I would consider that pretty good.
Also, the Clean Meal mixed up pretty easily with water or milk. No problems at all.
The only real negative was that the aftertaste wasn’t great. It wasn’t horrible, but it was noticeable.
Overall a really good experience with Clean Meal, one of the best meal replacement shakes I have tried and way better than those silly pre-bottled ones you get from Costco or the GNC Lean Shake.
Available Flavors
Right now, there are only three flavors available. I have tried the Vanilla Cake and it was really good. I can’t speak for the other flavors.
- Vanilla Cake
- Snickerdoodle
- Chocolate Peanut Butter

Side Effects?
I did not experience any side effects when using Clean Meal, but that doesn’t mean they can’t happen, although they aren’t likely.
Possible side effects include digestive discomfort, allergic reactions to specific ingredients, sensitivity to artificial sweeteners, and potential nutrient interactions. It is important to review the ingredient list and consult with a healthcare professional if needed. Follow recommended serving sizes and instructions. Discontinue use if any concerning side effects occur and seek medical advice.
Price
As I am writing this, the price for Clean Meal is $49.99, and there are 20 servings in a tub. This puts the price per serving. This breaks down to $2.50 per meal.
That price is a little above average, but you can lower it by 10% if you get a subscription. It’s also a good quality meal replacement, so it’s worth the extra money in my opinion.
Can You Live on Clean Meal
Can you? Of course, you can. Should you? No. You should eat real food. Meal replacements are not meant to replace real food in your diet and they also aren’t meant to replace EVERY MEAL.
Eat real food and use the meal replacements as a low-calorie lunch or when in a pinch, don’t live off of them.
