Ingredients in Post by Swolverine

As most of you know, when it comes to supplements, it’s all about the ingredients.

First thing we notice about Post is that it is a little different than other post-workout supplements on the market.

Post is a bit of a protein powder, and carb powder morphed into a post-workout supplement that is vegan-friendly.

Looking at the ingredients and this thing is absolutely loaded. The main ingredients include:

Pea Protein 12,000 mg – Their top ingredient is pea protein which helps replenish lost electrolytes and replenishes depleted energy stores while also providing essential vitamins and minerals. Pea starch is a plant-based source of protein (obviously), which makes it ideal for vegans and vegetarians.

It is also a slow-digesting carb that can give you long-lasting energy.

Pea Protein Isolate 8,000 mg – You guessed it, this also comes from peas. Pea protein isolate provides a fast-absorbing and incredibly anabolic form of protein that is loaded with amino acids. Research indicates that pea protein provides as much muscle-building and recovery potential as whey protein.

L-Glutamine 4,000mg – This amino acid helps repair muscle that has been under stress. L-glutamine helps to maintain muscle mass and has been shown to reduce recovery time by aiding in tissue repair.

Bromelain 500mg –  Bromelain is an enzyme found in pineapple that helps reduce inflammation, which can help athletes recover from hard workouts faster.

Coconut Water 500 mg – Coconut water is a great source of electrolytes and minerals that can help replenish lost fluids during exercise.

Pomegranate 500 mg – Pomegranate is a great source of antioxidants, which helps to reduce oxidative stress and improve overall health.

Papaya 500 mg – Papaya contains an enzyme known as papain, which helps to break down proteins in the body. This helps with digestion and nutrient absorption.

Pineapple 350 mg – Pineapple is an excellent source of vitamins and minerals. It also contains Bromelain, which is good for reducing inflammation.

Spirulina 250 mg – Spirulina is a blue-green algae that contains essential nutrients like vitamins and minerals, protein, and healthy fats. It has also been shown to reduce inflammation and improve overall health.

Pink Himalayan Salt 200mg – Himalayan salt is a great source of electrolytes that can help replenish lost fluids during exercise.

Overall Thoughts On Ingredients

Overall the ingredients are pretty solid. You have amino acids for growth and recovery, along with healthy carbs and proteins to feed your muscles so they can grow.

Also, very healthy ingredients all the way around. No artificial flavors, sweeteners, or colors.  This post-workout blend is packed with nutritious ingredients that are designed to help you recover and build muscle.

How Does Post by Swolverine Taste?

post by swolverine

Now for what most of you are here for, the taste.

The directions say to mix it with water, but like we decided to mix it with water, milk and almond to see how they compared.

The flavor was above average. You could taste the cocoa and the peanut butter and a bit of pea but it wasn’t overpowering.

As for the difference between milk, almond milk, and water. There wasn’t much difference, really. The milk and almond milk were a bit creamier but the water was still good and I usually don’t like mixing supplements like this with water.

Whatever you choose to mix it with will work fine.

Pricing for Post by Swolverine

The price for Post is above average. I generally hate to mention the price in the articles because it always ends up going up after I mention but at the time this was written the price was $62.99 for a tub which contains 30 servings, That breaks down to $2.09 per serving which isn’t too bad.

You can get it for less if you get a subscription. A subscription gives you 15% off and you can have it delivered every month or as far apart as 4 months.
