In a man, the main hormone that is of the essence is known as testosterone.
This hormone regulates basically everything in the body ranging from fertility, to lean muscle mass, to the distribution of fat and finally the production of the red blood cells in the blood. A reduced level of testosterone results in infertility or what is medically termed to as hypogonadism.
Reduced testosterone is increasing among the population in general. This is shown by the increase in prescriptions for testosterone supplements. In fact, the increase is fivefold in the last ten years.
Among the best testosterone supplements in the market is Prime Test by Prime Labs.

What is Prime Test?
Prime Test by Prime Labs is a dietary supplement that was engineered specifically for men. The sole purpose of Prime Test is to help the man increase his testosterone levels. Testosterone levels in a man being dwindling as the man hits the age of 30. The production is lowered and, as a result, several features dwindle such as performance in bed, libido and stamina. There are several types of issues that are generally associated with reduced testosterone levels in a man. Reduced sex drive is one of them. A generally low sperm count is another main result of reduced testosterone levels in a man. Erectile dysfunction is another regular occurrence that comes with reduced testosterone levels. Lastly, a swollen or slightly enlarged breast tissue is another main result of reduced testosterone levels. These are issues that might badly affect the average man.
Additionally, the supplement was engineered for the gym going man. It is possible to hit the gym day in day out and not get the results that you desire in a long while. As much as you put in all your energy into working out, the coveted body seems quite elusive. It is for this reason as well that Prime Test was engineered. It was discovered that testosterone is in charge of lean muscle gain and fat distribution. Heightened levels of testosterone in the body can increase the muscle gains in the gym and they will generally distribute the fat where you want it deposited. This will give you that much-coveted body.
The product acts to generally increase your blood flow just like any other ordinary anabolic enhancer. It also aids in burning excessive fat and to restore the lost energy. It boosts your energy so that you can perform your daily tasks much easier. The combined effect of all this is that it gives you a boost in your confidence levels. This boost will generally increase your performance at work, in the gym and even in the bedroom. The best way to recapture youthful exuberance energy is by increasing your testosterone levels and Prime Test is supposed to help you attain just that.
Who is Prime Test For?
Prime Test by Prime Labs is designed for the man whose performance in the bedroom is dwindling. Chances are that your inability to perform is bleeding out on other areas of your life and most importantly your relationship with your partner. Prime Test should boost your libido by increasing your testosterone levels. An increase in the levels of the hormone in charge of sexual arousal and performance will enhance your performance.
Prime Test by Prime Labs is also designed for the gym rat who has been putting in so much time at the gym but is finding the desired results hard to come by. The testosterone boost that is gained results in increased gains in lean muscle. It also redistributes fats evenly making sure that they are deposited in all the right areas.
rime Test is not recommended for women. Women generally produce low testosterone levels and the same should remain so. This is because increased testosterone levels in a woman could result in the symptoms that are characteristic of a man with too much testosterone. These include increased facial hair and balding patterns similar to those of a man.
Ingredients in Prime Test
The first thing we notice about the ingredients for Prime Test is that they are in a proprietary blend. This means they have mixed all of the ingredients together in a blend and they only tell you how big the blend is. They do not tell you how much of each ingredient is in the blend and you have no way of knowing.
This is something companies do to keep others from copying their ingredients but it is not good for transparency or knowing if you will have potential side effects, plus it is a way for them to hide weak doses of ingredients.
Also looking at the overall size of the blend which is just 1484mg we know that they can’t have any really big doses of ingredients in here because the overall size is pretty small.
Here are the ingredients:
Horny Goat Weed – This ingredient has long been used to increase libido and sexual performance, as you can see it is appropriately named.
Tongkat Ali – This ingredient, which is also known as longjack is another libido enhancer that has also been shown to boost testosterone by 37% and also lower cortisol levels by 16%. This is important because cortisol is a real testosterone killer.
Saw Palmetto – This ingredient is a total fail. In our article of the best testosterone boosting ingredients, we pointed out how saw palmetto is completely ineffective. Many studies have proven that it doesn’t work, not a good ingredient.
Orchic Substance – This ingredient is essentially made from bull testicles, the theory is that this ingredient will make you strong and aggressive like a bull. That way of thinking would likely have worked if it were the year 1718 instead of 2018. Tests have shown this ingredient to be ineffective.
Wild Yam – This ingredient is not the yams you eat at Thanksgiving, instead, it is dried root. This is thought to help increase libido among many other uses.
Nettle Extract – This ingredient binds to the globulin in your blood in place of testosterone, thus leaving more of the all-important free testosterone in your blood.
Boron – Boron is a mineral that has been shown to increase testosterone levels. It does this by decreasing the amount of globulin in the blood. If there is less globulin for testosterone to bind to then you end up with more of the highly desired free testosterone. In a study by Miljkovic, men taking 6 mg boron daily for just 2 months increased free testosterone levels by an average of 29.5%, not bad at all.
Overall these ingredients are mediocre at best. They are missing key ingredients like zinc, magnesium, d-aspartic acid, and ginseng that could have really made this a decent product.
Dosing for Prime Test by Prime Labs
The dosing on this product is 1-2 doses per day which is not going to be enough. We recommend 3-4 doses per day, we do this because if you have less than 3 doses per day your testosterone levels will certainly drop in between doses making your testosterone booster much less effective. Keeping test levels high all day will make your testosterone booster much more effective.
Prime Test vs Testofuel
When we compare Prime Test and our top-rated testosterone booster TestoFuel there isn’t much comparison. Testofuel is loaded with 9 effective testosterone boosting ingredients in generous doses while Prime Test also has 9 ingredients but many of them are ineffective and underdosed. This might not sound that bad for Prime Test but let’s look at it a bit further.
To show you how underdosed Prime Test is let’s compare the overall dose size. Prime Test comes in at 1528mg per dose while a Testofuel dose is twice as big at 3065 mg per dose. That’s bad, but it gets even worse for Prime Test. Remember you are supposed to take Prime Test only 1-2 times per day but with Testofuel you take 4 doses per day. So you get twice as much per dose and 2-4 times as many doses with Testofuel. That is a huge difference.
On top of the fact that the doses are so much more with Testofuel, it also has key ingredients that Prime Test is missing like zinc, magnesium, fenugreek, oyster extract and D-Aspartic Acid. Superior ingredients along with bigger doses.
Prime Test is less expensive than Testofuel but you get so much less with this product it isn’t really worth it just to save a few bucks.
Testofuel wins this contest very easily.
Side Effects of Prime Test
If you take this product as the label says you should not have any trouble with side effects. While some of these ingredients are ineffective they are not dangerous.
Will Prime Test Work For You?
From several user reviews, the answer to this is a shaky yes. The Prime Test from Prime Labs is may help you with libido and sexual performance but those effects will be minimal at best. It also isn’t likely to do a lot in terms of increasing testosterone levels all that much either, you would be WAY better off with any of the products on our list of the top 5 testosterone boosters.

Conclusion for Prime Test by Prime Labs
Prime Test by Prime Labs is mediocre at best. Only about half of the ingredients in this product are effective and only a couple of them will actually do anything to boost testosterone levels.
This product is priced on the low side and we can see why, you get what you pay for.
