What is TrueTONE Women’s Fat Burner?

TrueTONE Women’s Fat Burner is made by True Recovery. Is made exclusively for women and is designed to promote weight loss and increase energy. They also claim it will reduce your appetite and that it is also a “muscle toner”.

Are these claims valid or are they just trying to make it sound better than it is?

Let’s find out.

Ingredients in TrueTONE Women’s Fat Burner

This is where the rubber meets the road so to speak. If the ingredients are solid you will have a good fat burner, if they aren’t look elsewhere.

Truetone women's fat burner ingredients

As you can see there are only 3 ingredients in this product, this is going to be an easy one.

Calcium Beta Hydroxtbutrate – 62mg

Magnesium Beta Hydroxtbutrate – 32mg

Sodium Beta Hydroxtbutrate – 10mg

Proprierietary Blend – 800mg

For the purpose of this article, we are just going to group these three ingredients together since they are all Beta Hydroxtbutrate. for some reason the ingredients are listed individually and then again in a separate proprietary blend that contains the same ingredients. Why did they do that? Who knows?

Anyway, Beta Hydroxtbutrate also known as BHB is an ingredient that most of the keto diet supplements use. Interestingly enough the packaging and website hardly even mentions the keto diet at all.

The problem with beta-hydroxybutyrate is that it doesn’t really work to help you lose weight. You see in this article by Healthline that while beta-hydroxybutyrate may help reduce appetite but that all of the calories it contains cancels out any appetite-reducing properties.

Also, this product doesn’t contain enough beta-hydroxybutyrate for it to be really effective. If you look at the label above the dose is about 904 mg. If you think that sounds like a lot, below is a label from a leading BHB supplement.

As you can see, the product above contains over 14 times as much Beta Hydroxtbutrate as TrueTONE Women’s Fat Burner does.

Not only do they use an ingredient that hasn’t been proven to work, but the product is also way underdosed.

Also, I am not trying to tell you to buy the product with the higher dosing, I’m not even going to tell you what it is, I am just letting you know for comparison.

Missing Ingredients

There are a lot of ingredients we would like to see in this product. Here are just a few…

Glucomannan – This natural dietary fiber helps to make you feel less hungry and to block carbohydrate uptake, aiding weight loss. You’ll find this extract in most of the top fat burners so it was surprising not to see it in TrueTONE

Chromium – The main way in which Chromium increases weight loss is by reducing cravings for fats and carbs. This helps dieters who are trying to stick to a strict meal plan.

The findings on Chromium have been supported by many recent studies. As we said it’s is an effective appetite suppressant that will help you avoid unhealthy options when you’re dieting. It also aids in the breaking down and metabolizing of fats and sugar.

Green Tea – This one has a long list of benefits for the body, one of which is increased fat burning. It burns fat because green tea contains EGCG which is a powerful antioxidant that is known to boost your metabolism. This study shows that green tea decrease fat synthesis, increase the breakdown of fat, and increase the utilization of glucose.

Cayenne Pepper Extract – Cayenne pepper is one of the most popular ingredients when it comes to weight loss supplements, this is because it works in 2 ways. This study which was done by Purdue University found that cayenne pepper lowers your appetite. While this study showed it can increase your metabolism through thermogenesis.

Side Effects

Side effects with this supplement are unlikely. Beta Hydroxtbutrate can cause upset stomach, diarrhea, constipation, and stomach pain. These side effects are more likely to happen when very high doses are used, luckily the dose on this supplement isn’t all that high so it is unlikely you will have any side effects,

Reviews for TrueTONE Women’s Fat Burner

Reviews

TrueTONE currently has a 4.3 Star rating on Amazon which seems pretty high but Amazon has a lot of fake reviews so it’s kinda tough to go by that.

One of their five-star reviews on Amazon says:

“Works perfect. I lost lot of weight in first week and still loosing steadily while watching diet and doing little exercise. It’s true it cut downs your belly fat. For a petite woman like me it worked wonders with my keto diet.”

While one of the 1-star reviews says:

“This product does nothing at all. . I took the whole bottle as described.”

Unfortunately, it was near impossible to find an independent review outside of Amazon that was worth much of anything, just other sites trying to sell the product, of course, they said it was wonderful.

Price for TrueTONE Women’s Fat Burner

This is one area where TrueTONE shines. The price is very low. It is currently priced at $19.95 on Amazon but we also saw it for as low as $9.98 on Ebay.

Is TrueTONE worth the money even at that low price? No.

Overall TrueTONE Women’s Fat Burner Conclusion

TrueTONE Women’s Fat Burner has promising packaging and marketing. Unfortunately, the ingredients aren’t proven to be effective and the product is quite underdosed.

It is rather inexpensive which may make some people think it is worth giving it a try. I think your results with this product will be very minimal and likely nothing at all. You would be better served looking elsewhere.
