How did you get started with bodybuilding/fitness?

Growing up in Cyprus, I was a little boy that loved to play competitive sports and got involved in as many sports as I possibly could. I am Special Forces graduate and I have been in sports my whole life, like football, discobolus, and athletics until my high school graduation… At the age of 18 I started kick boxing until the age of 22 when I finally decided to hit the weight room. Since then I came upset with my body and I have always loved to hit the weight room which I still find it an escape from reality. My love for fitness and my willingness to help others to achieve their fitness goals brought me the inspiration to graduate with a Personal Trainer Certification. Through the years I realized that the passion for fitness was strong and it was time for me to make my mark. I started doing photo-shoots, a way of showing my work as well as rewarding myself from all the hard work. Also I step on stage couple of months ago and this is how I start my carrier in the fitness world. My work ethic, dedication and sacrifices brought me at my best condition ever and to start living my mark in the fitness world.

What is your favorite body part to train?

I love the pump I get on my legs. I cannot describe how I feel after my leg workout. That muscle soreness I get, I cannot even take the stairs. Legs are your wheels, your drive in life, and I believe you will find out how strong you are and how are you willing to reach your goals on a leg day.

Do you do any types of training besides weight training?

I like to shock my body every time and one of my favorite is sprints, a huge win for me which what I recommend to the public. I like to play basketball during the week, change my mood. Also, I do long distance running like marathon, half marathon, long distances bike ride twice a year, where I hold a success for all of them. I also do outdoor workout at my local park, calisthenics once a week which changes my mood, and shock the system as well.

Can you give us a sample of your routine?

I never do what normality does, chest Mondays or whatever nor I don’t believe in overtraining. The mirror shows my weak points which I train them twice as hard on a week. I always shock my body with different variations, either a day with compound movements, strength training only, park workout. I train twice a day, I change my work out every week and that’s what I do with my clients as well. I rest when I want and my body says so. The following is what I have for this week:

Monday: Biceps + Shoulders + Calves

Tuesday: Back + Triceps PM: HIIT

Wednesday: Chest + Biceps + Calves

Thursday: Hamstrings+ Delts PM:HIIT

Friday: Quads PM: Chest (Focusing on upper chest)

Saturday: AM: HIIT PM: Lats + Calves

Sunday:    Compound movements

What kind of music do you listen to when you are working out?

Nothing better than good music craning through my headphones in the gym – takes me to a whole another level, more testosterone production, I feel more focus. Choose a good gym with good quality music or demand your music to have a good music. I listen a lot of motivational speeches like Eric Thomas, Dance music, remixes and HipHop anything that has some crazy beats to keep me pumped up the entire workout. My favorite song is ‘Cygnosic – Mad desire’.

We all have at least one, what is the most embarrassing song on your iPod?

Hahaha. Lately as I was renewing my audio list on my MP3 player and I found that I had ‘Gladatior – Now we are free’. Don’t ask why but for a reason I am not erasing it.

What does your diet look like when you are trying to get lean?

For me off season is like being unemployed which I don’t like. I eat good quality food all year long because I love my body and I take care of it. I am always in shape for shoots or any other job that will come up. As I am in great condition at the moment, one week prior to a shoot I cut my carbs and water slowly to get lean as much as possible and suck the muscle onto the skin.

What kind of cardio you like best and why?

I love to run in the fresh air and when I do I make sure my Intensity is high, so called sprints. This is my favorite because builds my serratus, build legs, build muscle, the entire body basically where I get the best physical benefit. But again is good to mix it up, and when I do I play basketball and swimming which is a full body training.

If you could give somebody one bodybuilding tip what would it be?

I believe the pain in the gym affects your social life as well and how you treat people. You have to get it seriously if you want a serious life. A great advice I can give is don’t rush it, consistency and patience is the key. Don’t be those guys who don’t have a plan in their life and they don’t have an idea what they do in the gym. Reflect on what you do every day in your life and try to be at your best every day. Your thoughts are everything.

Another important advice is to compete with what you see in the mirror, yourself and not with everybody else and try to lift to impress. In life you have nothing to prove to nobody, just to yourself. Work hard and trust me there isn’t a better feeling of improving yourself, your mood gets high, positives all over the place, inner peace.

Tell us about your biggest bodybuilding/fitness influence?

My favorite is Greg Plitt. That guy is amazing, his mental drive, passion and dedication inspired me to give my best in the gym and in my social life as well. He really knows how to motivate.

Favorite cheat food?

A burger and fries with a red wine on the side I will say is my favorite.

Do you take any supplements?

I don’t take any supplements for the last 2 months. Although, some protein shakes that I buy from my local store here and there.

What does the future hold for you?

Well, I cannot speak about my future goals because I don’t hold any success yet. I have written them down and I see them every day, am working on them. I am currently focused on a number of short term goals and you will learn about them when I hold the success.

I will tell you one thing, I have been training harder and focus on the price more than ever and for sure I will get what I have in my mind – I will tick the list of my goals.
